Who We Are

Mijara Building Company has been family owned and operated since 1973. Business owner and veteran, Michael Walsh, bought our first property after returning home from the Vietnam War and grew it from there. The company is now run by him, his daughter Rachel, and his son Nicholas.

We believe that buying a house, especially for the first time, should be a fun and exciting time. We do all of the work so that you don’t have to, and aim for your new house to feel like home from day one. As a small, local business and lifetime residents of the Downriver Michigan community, we ensure to always use and support other small businesses in the area when remodeling our properties. Mijara Building Company has always aimed to provide affordable yet modernized housing for home buyers and renters, and we will continue to do so.
